w755.jpg

The MOTO™ W755 finally makes it reasonable to own a mobile phone that’s much more than just a phone. Rest assured, calls sound great with the MOTO™ W755, but so does all of the music you’ll play. It also looks great with a combination of soft and metallic finishes. The only things that look better will be the quality pictures and videos you take with the camera. The MOTO™ W755 is pleasing to your eyes and ears, but it is also easy to use. The screen and touch-sensitive controls on the front let you access music, activate Bluetooth® and adjust ring volume or mute calls without ever opening the phone. Simple and loaded with features, the MOTO™ W755 is a phone that gives a lot without asking for much in return.

Price Range: $195.99  -   $219.99

Surrounding the display are touch controls for the music player. As expected, you can open the player and manage your playlist without even opening the phone. We also were pleased to find touch controls for activating the W755’s Bluetooth and silent mode. Both are very convenient, particularly if you’re driving. All of the touch controls provide vibrating feedback and can be locked to prevent accidental activation.

Verizon Wireless is releasing the entry-level Motorola W755 available for purchase through Verizon’s website and retail outlets. And being an entry-level mobile phone, the W755 doesn’t promise too much in terms of features and capabilities. Motorola however promises not only great call sounds but also when listening to music on the Motorola W755. Yes, it is an entry-level phone that also features a music player. In addition, the Motorola W755 also boast of touch-sensitive controls that lets you access music, activate Bluetooth and adjust ring volumes or mute calls without even opening the phone.

Simple, functional and fashionable - MOTOFONE has the features you need and can count on plus the look you aspire for, at a price that fits your pocket. Billions of people around the world have yet to make a phone call - and billions more have only just begun to explore wireless technology. Technology can be intimidating however MOTOFONE is convenience in voice communication.

Price Range:  $45.99  -  $79.00

The crux of whether or not the MOTOFONE will appeal to you lies in its feature set — or lack thereof. It’s a GSM-capable mobile phone, which in the Australian market is locked to Optus — and it comes with a prepaid SIM in the box. It’ll do SMS, and you’ve got a choice of some very standard monophonic ring tones. That’s it, however — there’s no Bluetooth, GPRS, camera, GPS, 3G, HSDPA or even simple phone games. If you’re incurably addicted to features like this you’ll find the MOTOFONE vexatious in the extreme. Then again, it’s a phone, and it works. Why pay for stuff you don’t need or use?

In case it hasn’t sunk in yet, the MOTOFONE is just a basic phone, and as a basic phone it works quite well. Call clarity was good in our tests — those of a paranoid bent might like to note that the default call volume is quite loud — and battery life was fairly solid. Motorola rates it for up to 450 minutes talk time and up to 270 hours standby time — largely because when not in use the screen powers down to a simple digital clock display. In our testing, it lasted around three days heavy usage before needing recharging. This brought up one of our lesser concerns about the MOTOFONE, and that’s in the fact that it takes quite a while to recharge. This isn’t a concern if you’re an overnight recharger, but it’s not possible to do a quick recharge and get anything but a perfunctory charge into the MOTOFONE.

Motofone’s design follows the latest fashion trends. Certainly nobody had expected the cheapest phone on the market to be only 9 mm thin and thus being the slimmest Motorola ever. The other two dimensions are 114 x 47 mm. Its weight surprises too - meager 68 g. Despite of looking fragile the phone stands bending pretty successfully thanks to the solid and resistant plastic material used for its covers.

Summary of key features:

  • Stylish thin design
  • Durable housing for optimal performance despite dust and sun
  • High-contrast screen using new ClearVision display
  • Large font size for easy readability
  • High-volume for call clarity in loud environments
  • Embedded polyphonic ringtones in eight voices
  • Ability to download ringtones

What you get:

  • MOTOFONE F3 phone
  • Battery Door
  • Battery
  • Travel Charger

  • Price Range : $109.41 to $199.00

The L6i also has FM Radio, which means now you can listen to your favorite radio show on the move. This slim phone has the capability to fit in your tightest jeans and not look like a bulge! Weighing just 86 grams, this sleek and light phone is sure to go with your suave looks and personality.

Motorola SLVR L6, or Motorola L6, originally called Motorola SLIM L6, is a very thin candy-bar shaped mobile phone from Motorola. The phone was released before its heavily advertised brother, the SLVR L7. The L6 held the title of the thinnest mobile phone in the UK for a short while, before being beaten by the Samsung P300. Features of the L6 include Bluetooth, MP3 ring tones, camera and video on it. It is basically a cut-down version of the SLVR L7 with all functions except for iTunes (U.S only) and the use of external memory. The SLVR L6 also has a smaller screen than that of the SLVR L7. A new version of the L6 called L6i adds FM radio function.

As we stated earlier, the Motorola Slvr L6 has a comfortable selection of midrange features. Casual cell phones users will appreciate the Bluetooth, speakerphone, and Motorola Screen3 technology, but more hard-core users will lament the lack of a music player and a high-resolution camera. We’ll review the essentials first, however. The 500-contact phone book is adequate, and there’s room in each entry for six phone numbers, an e-mail address, a postal address, and a birth date; the SIM card holds an additional 250 names. You can assign contacts to caller groups, pair them with a picture for photo caller ID, or assign them any of 24 polyphonic ring tones. The phone also supports MP3 ring tones. Other basic features include a vibrate mode, a mini-USB port, a calculator, a date book, and an alarm clock. Messaging features are plentiful, with support for text, enhanced, and multimedia messaging. You also get instant messaging for AOL, Yahoo, and ICQ platforms.
