The Motorola ROKR Z6m is a thin, narrow slider highlighted with elegant finishes. Crafted of rich housing materials, the ROKR Z6m takes full advantage of the slider form factor and make life easier by accomplishing most anything in both the open and closed positions. Music is a priority for the ROKR Z6m. Featuring an integrated music player, the ROKR Z6m comes equipped with a 3.5 mm headset jack, stereo Bluetooth connectivity, and up to 2 GB removable memory. Additionally, consumers can transfer their digital music collections in seconds via the the USB 2.0 high speed connection.
The Z6m’s display is just like the Rizr Z6tv’s. It measures 2 inches and supports 65,000 colors. Though that’s a step down from the 262,000-color display on the Rizr Z3, such a change is common on CDMA phones. Colors still looked bright and graphics and animations were sharp. You can change the brightness and the backlight time, but not the font size. Alltel doesn’t have its own menu interface; it uses Moto’s date design instead. On the other hand, the Z6m does support Alltel’s nifty Celltop interface. You can read all about it in our review of Alltel’s Samsung SCH-u520.

MOTORIZR Z3 is ready with features that you can access when the phone is open or closed. Listen to music, call a friend, play a game or use the full screen viewfinder as a digital camera. One touch and connections are made. It’s pure pleasure?right from the very first slide.
Price Range: Unknown
Merging an innovative slider design with an impressive feature set, the MOTORIZR delivers a dynamic mobile package for those socially active, on-the-go consumers who demand style, fun and adventure. Uniquely crafted, the MOTORIZR features a thin, narrow slider form factor with familiar finishes, rich housing materials and a multi-modal design for using the phone in both the open and closed positions. Appealing to the senses, this sleek new device boasts exceptional imaging, vivid color screen, enhanced music features and global connectivity. By offering the desired functionality in a familiar, easy to use design, the MOTORIZR is the companion for effortless style and entertainment on-the-go.
You can drag and drop music files onto the card after connecting the phone to your PC via the included mini-USB cable. And in the Rizr Z3’s airplane mode, you can listen to your music without activating the cell phone while flying. Audiophiles take note: The phone may not play files whose bit rate is above 128 kbps. When played over the external speaker, songs sounded quite tinny.
The RIZR features the latest version of Motorola’s user interface, and is perhaps less awkward to use than older Motorola phones. The RIZR is not the highest spec phone available, but holds its own against other phones in this price range. The camera is a 2 megapixel device and is as good as anything Motorola have produced previously, but not in the same league as the latest top-of-the-range phones from other manufacturers. There’s a video recording option and an MPEG4 video playback feature in the media player. The display is a good quality TFT screen with 262,000 colours and a good resolution of 176 x 220 pixels. Again, this is trailing behind the best screens from Sony Ericsson, Samsung and Nokia, but is good enough. The music player is good quality and handles a wide range of music formats, including MP3, AAC and AAC+. An optional Bluetooth stereo headset is available.
The design of Motorola RIZR is typical for their models which come with a lettered name. On the front panel we can see the Motorola M sign just above the 256K TFT display. The thick thumb-rest for assistance of the sliding process is just beneath the display and the only thing that completes the front panel is the set of buttons in the very bottom. There is a four-way key with a confirming center which is well known from the first RAZR V3 model. Surrounding it are two soft keys, a Browser button, a C back button and the green and red “receivers”, which in the case of Motorola are round symbols.

Slide your way into an extraordinary music experience and stay on the cutting edge of style with the MOTOROKR Z6. Slim slider design, eye-catching sophistication, and new LinuxTM operating system. Easily drag and drop music from PC to phone via Microsoft® Windows Media™ Player 11, a high-speed USB 2.0, with picture and video capture capabilities — the MOTOROKR Z6 is simply a masterpiece.
Price Range: $339.90 to $499.00
The ROKR Z6 comes with a large 2 Inch colour screen which allows the user to view their photos in either horizontal or vertical position. The screen has a screen resolution of 320 x 240 pixels & provides up to 262k colours for the user to enjoy. The screen is clear & bright & the size of the screen is ideal when the user is using the camera & video features. The built in 2 megapixel camera feature comes with camera modes which allows the user to choose between landscape photos or portrait style photos. The camera comes with a LED flash feature which allows the user to capture the best lit snots even in darker environments. The digital zoom feature allows the user to zoom in & out on their target to ensure the best shot is captured. The Motorola ROKR Z6 comes with high quality video features which allow the user to record & play video at between 15 & 20 frames per second. The phone supports all popular video formats including MPEG4, H263 & 3GPP.
The MOTOROKR Z6 is a solidly built slider handset. The actual slider mechanism contains a dual-homed spring that causes it to open and close securely while making a solid thunking sound. The front face of the phone is decked out in a polished black finish that contrasts with the rubbery soft-touch paint found on the back of the device. The mate black middle section of the phone houses a series of gloss black controls. The volume control and smartkey are located on the left edge, the camera and voice dial buttons on the right. The covered miniUSB port is also located on the right. When opened, the back of the slider shows a patter of dots that is color keyed to the rest of the phone - gray for the black Z6, red for the black and red version, and orange for the black and orange version.
Like the rest of the Motorola lineup, the ROKR Z6 makes use of flat metallic keys for its controls. The main buttons on the top lid are reasonably large and provide tactile feedback. What we didn’t find comfortable was the top row of the numeric keypad which are just too near to the bottom edge of the top lid. Though there’s a concave edge forming an angle with the bottom shell, people with larger digits may still find it harder to type.

Enter a new era in mobile technology with the new MOTO™ Z8. Now, for the first time, you can watch and listen to movies, TV downloads, music and sport, on the go, with crystal clear vision and sound quality. Full of technology, fit to face slider opening mechanism and uniquely contoured form.
Price Range: $459.99 - $689.99
The Motorola RIZR Z8 is also known as the MOTORIZR Z8 or the RIZR Z8 which is a impressive 3G Smartphone which has been design by the Motorola designers with the business user & multimedia loving user in mind.
The handset comes in an interesting & well designed curved casing which in unique to this model & will cause a stir in the 3G Smartphone market. The handsets curved design comes with a slider opening mechanism which is easy to open & close in a single hand. The Motorola RIZR Z8 is a member of the RIZR family which includes the stylish Motorola RIZR Z3 which is also known as the Motorola RIZR. The RIZR Z8 provides the user with a high speed multimedia & mobile broadband handset.
Physically, the Z8 is a development of the RIZR Z3, being a slimline slide phone. It’s slightly thinner than the Z3, at just 15mm, but is wider and longer. The shape of the phone is unusual, as the rear edge of the phone is angled slightly when opened, giving it the appearance of a clamshell. It’s an interesting design twist, making the phone easier to grip and more comfortable to hold to the ear than a conventional slider. The screen is excellent, being a bright TFT display with an amazing 16 million colours and one of the highest resolutions around. At 2.2 inches across, it’s a very good size too - significantly larger than that of the RIZR Z3. The keypad gives good positive feedback, but is slightly cramped, and may be a problem to use if you have very large fingers.
The phone comes with an instant messaging service which allows the user to communicate with text & icons to any contacts who are online at the same time as the user. The email service supports SMTP, POP3, IMAP4 & SSL/TLS2 email which allows the user to send & receive emails on their mobile handset. The multimedia message service also known as MMS messaging allows the user to send a message compatible.

Take the best and make it better. The MOTO™ Z9 shares the rich and beautiful look of the latest and greatest RAZR2, now offered with the luxury of a slider. This mobile is not only breathtaking but its design is built strong with chemically hardened glass, vacuumized metal and stainless steel construction
Price Range: $354.99
This slider is slimmer and flatter than an iPhone but about the same heft; so it’s bulky enough to wear through a pocket. But unlike the iPhone, it slides open noisily to reveal a set of sunken keys marked by tiny, finger-friendly, silver rivets for touch dialing. Buttons on the side provide haptic feedback to ticklishly indicate your button presses. We’re not crazy about the proprietary headset/power connector, but Motorola is no way alone in this sin.
There’s no shortage of buttons on the Motorola Z9, with a traditional numberpad hiding beneath the slide. The top half of the handset features a 5-way d-pad, left and right softkeys, end and send keys, a dedicated internet key, and a back button. The left side of the handset is where you’ll find the volume rocker and a user-configurable shortcut key called the ’smart’ key.
The right side of the Z9 features only the camera button and microUSB port, with a small and flimsy cover. There are no connections on the bottom of the device, and the top only offers a lanyard loop. The back of the camera houses a 2 megapixel camera with LED flash, and a speaker opening along the bottom.
