Motorola KRZR K1

Imagine a phone that you look forward to using. Every time you flip it open, the MOTOKRZR outshines the rest. Sure, it takes crisp photos, offers more entertainment and helps you make the most of your time. With a distinctive metallic gloss front finish and reflective qualities of a mirror, MOTOKRZR is an elegant clam phone.

Price Range: $169.99 to $229.99

Reflecting the design language of the super-slim MOTORAZR , the MOTOKRZR exudes pure luxury with clean lines, precision detailing and premium materials shrouded within a distinctive metallic gloss front finish. The MOTOKRZR builds upon one of the most celebrated designs of the past decade by blending slender form with razor-thin design principles in a sleek clamshell form. Measuring a mere 16mm thin X 42mm wide X 103mm long and weighing only 3.6 ounces, the MOTOKRZR slips easily into a pocket or purse.

Most other exterior features are carried over from the K1m. The 65,536-color external display, the spine-mounted controls, and the somewhat poor location of the MicroSD slot behind the battery cover all are unchanged. The placement of the camera lens is the same as well, and similar to the K1m, the K1 lacks a flash. Yet, there is one more important variation on the GSM Krzr: the external music controls found on the CDMA model are not present. It’s a curious and an unwelcome change to say the least, particularly since the K1 still has a music player.

The KRZR K1 comes with a integrated two megapixel camera feature which has a smooth 8 x digital zoom & a flash feature. The camera feature is quick & simple to activate & allows the user to capture all of their special moments as a still photo. The user can store their photos or share them with others. The KRZR K1 comes with camera settings & photo effects which will enhance the photos & give the user their desired finish. The user can record & playback video footage on the Motorola KRZR K1 in MPEG4 format. The user can store up to twenty five minutes worth of video footage on the internal memory space. The KRZR K1 comes with SCREEN3 technology which allows the user to view the latest news headlines & sports scores on their phone.

The styling of the KRZR has been updated, with a reflective glass-coated surface that makes the KRZR stand out from the crowd (and acts as a magnet for fingerprints, by the way!) Although it’s a fashion phone, it has a well thought-out design, with a functional (if small) keypad, and good ergonomics. However, the glass used is fragile and can scratch, crack or shatter, even when treated carefully. We have never before encountered a phone where so many users have reported a broken screen. This is obviously a design fault or manufacturing defect.
