Wherever you are, whenever you want, the Motorola ROKR E2 delivers a distinctive music experience. Downloading tunes from your favorite CD or digital music collection is a snap — advanced USB 2.0 connections provide faster data transfers than USB 1.0 from your PC straight to your handset’s integrated MP3 player where you can create and manage playlists on the go. And, designed with music in mind, the ROKR E2 features are optimized with dedicated music controls on the side and front to Play, Pause and Skip Forward / Backward between songs, plus a standard 3.5mm stereo headset jack and up to 2GB of removable memory for storing all your favorite tracks, pictures, videos and more.
The music controls include a play button, pause button & a skip button which allows the user to go either forwards or backwards between their tracks. The phone comes with a standard 3.5 mm stereo headset jack & with stereo sound. The user can enjoy tuning into their favourite radio station with the built in FM radio. The ROKR E2 provides up to 2 Gbytes of memory with the use of the removable MicroSD™ memory cards which will provide the user with enough room for approximately five hundred music tracks. The user will never miss an incoming call when the music is on as the phone will automatically pause the music for the user to action the call & then after the call is complete the music will resume play from the very same place as it was paused.
First off, the ROKR E2 hails from the legacy of the iTunes-compatible ROKR. However, the integration with iTunes wasn’t so great anyway so the guys up there decided to go their own way with their proprietary multimedia player – which is great in all things except its UI lag. The first noticeable flaw of the new ROKR is its operating system lag, and to think it runs on open source! Thankfully though, this is a lag that you can actually get used to (sounds dumb, I know, but it is true).
