In terms of style, the Motorola V220 doesn’t try too hard. But that’s probably a good thing, seeing that simplicity is part of its appeal. Outfitted in silver and black, the flip phone has a soothing shape with a smooth surface and rounded corners. At 3.3 by 1.7 by 0.9 inches and 3.7 ounces, it’s small enough to fit in almost any pocket and light enough to carry around. It also benefits from solid construction and is comfortable to hold while you’re talking.
The V220 is an entry-level camera phone. It looks similar to its big brother phones, the V300, V500 and V600, but does not have as many features. Cost-savings start with the colour screen, which is small and uses STN technology rather than TFT, making it less bright and crisp. The camera is very poor quality and tends to take fuzzy dark images. Other areas where Motorola have economised are in the reduced memory, no Bluetooth, no quad band, no infra-red.
The Motorola V220 comes complete with polyphonic ringtones, MP3 ringtones & has space on the phones memory for the user to download many more ringtones from the Internet. The MOTOMIXER™ is a piece of remixable MIDI ringer software which comes included with the V220.
