The Motorola Razr V3m is the successor to the Razr V3c, both of which are exclusive to Verizon Wireless. The most notable improvement is the addition of an integrated music player, a Micro SD card slot, and support for VZ Navigator, Verizon’s GPS navigation service. Otherwise, the Razr V3m looks and feels exactly the same, and it has many of the same features as its sibling. The Razr V3m retails for much cheaper than the V3c–about $119.99 for a two-year contract and $169.99 for a one-year contract–but unless you want an integrated music player on your phone, you shouldn’t feel compelled to upgrade.
Price Range: Price: $249.99 - $339.00
For CDMA users, the updated RAZR from the V3c is this V3m model that added a memory card slot and music player. Features that stayed were EV-DO high-speed data, Bluetooth, and a megapixel camera with video capture, dual color displays, speakerphone, and speaker-independent voice dialing. Enjoy the RAZR V3m in fire red.
There’s a reason the Motorola Razr seems to top everyone’s must-get list. You might think it’s because it’s sooooo thin and commands “Ooooohhhh’s” and “Aaaahhhh’s” whenever it’s pulled out of a bag or a pocket. Yes, that’s a big reason why, but it’s also actually a pretty good cell phone. Although, this version lacks the world-roaming capability found in the Motorola Razr V3, it does have something the V3 doesn’t: a higher-quality 1.3-megapixel camera and the ability to record videos (the Motorola Razr V3 sports a lower-quality VGA camera and can’t record videos).
What can we say about the Motorola Razr’s ground-breaking design that hasn’t already been said: it’s uber-thin, slick looking and comes in a rainbow of colors. Even though, the cell phone is insanely thin, it’s incredibly usable and surprisingly durable. We’ve dropped the Motorola Razr many times on a variety of surfaces (carpet, wood floors, desks, sidewalks) and it has yet to show any battle scars.
Perhaps one of our favorite elements is the ultra-bright, colorful screen. It definitely stands out when it’s opened and is highly visible in most lighting situations. In fact, occasionally we’ve even used it as a flashlight for guidance through dark rooms. Our only quibble with the cell phone’s design is the screen easily attracts face grease. That said, many cell phones suffer from this flaw.
